The love of the Triune God:
the Father, creator of all that exists;
Jesus Christ, the Son, who became human to suffer and die for the sins of all human beings and to rise to life again in the ultimate victory over death and Satan; and
the Holy Spirit, who creates faith through God’s Word and Sacraments.
The three persons of the Trinity are coequal and coeternal, one God.
Grace Alone: God loves the people of the world, even though they are sinful, rebel against Him and do not deserve His love. He sent Jesus, His Son, to love the unlovable and save the ungodly
Faith Alone: By His suffering and death as the substitute for all people of all time, Jesus purchased and forgiveness and eternal life for them. Those who hear this Good News and believe it have the eternal life that it offers. God creates faith in Christ and gives people forgiveness through Him.
Scripture Alone: The Bible is God's inerrant and infallible Word, in which He reveals His Law and His Gospel of salvatiion in Jesus Christ. It is the sole rule and norm for Christion doctrine.
In September of 1970, several families met with Pastor Mentz to discuss starting a Lutheran church in Douglasville, Georgia. In June of 1971, Pastor Mentz was installed as the Prince of Peace Pastor. Over the years we grew and an educational wing was built that housed pre kindergarten and kindergarten classes. In 1981,the congrgation built a new church.
Over the years, we have enjoyed being a part of the Douglasville community. We will celebrate our 50th anniversary this September.
The Prince of Peace Learning Center now offers 2yr. old class, 3 yr. old class, and 4 year old class. For 2020-2021 we are also registering for a Kindergarten class. The Learning Center is State approved.

Serving Our Community
We volunteer and are serving in our community with time, talents and treasures to various agencies. Included in those are the Pregnancy Resource Center in Douglasville. We are serving in the world by helping with spreading the Gospel in India, and here at our church we are supporting our members who are in school preparing to be a part of the ministry of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod.
